In the wake of the group's award-winning production of The Beauty Queen of Leenane, Beothuck Street presents another play in the Leenane Trilogy by Martin McDonagh – The Lonesome West. All three plays are set in a small village in Connemara which is full of rumours, gossip, grudges, spite, murder, jealousy, evil mothers, bored daughters, warring brothers, irreverent grave diggers, odd-ball guards and belligerent neighbours! McDonagh's great strength is that he combines a love of traditional story-telling with the savage ironic humour of the modern generation.
