Scorched has fast become a Canadian classic. The Globe and Mail noted, “This haunting play may be the best piece of theatre this country has produced this millennium”.

The Winnipeg Free Press says “Scorched burns with a truth and ambition that combine to create an exhilarating evening of theatre”.

Scorched is just what Beothuck Street Players wants at this time; a play that grabs you by the throat and shakes you with silence. This play offers us the opportunity to produce challenging material in a quality theatrical fashion. As we did last year with Tuesdays with Morrie, we want to engage the audience and leave all of us appreciating the human condition even more.
