The Leicester City F.C is part of the “top six” clubs in the English premiership. Joining the Premier League was the crowning achievement of Leicester City and their relocation to the King Power Stadium was nothing less than a major coup for the club and its loyal supporters. During their first season in the premier league, Leicester City made a great impression on the footballing public and this has been further enhanced with two relegation from the top flight and two promotions to the third league. Currently the Foxes are tied fourth in the table after Manchester United, Norwich City and Watford.

Former Leicester City player and current Foxes forward, Jamie Vardy is currently top of the pile in scoring with 18 goals. Vardy’s three goals in his last two games against Watford and West Bromwich have moved him into first place in the scoring charts and while Leicester City are yet to confirm their first relegated title in history, Vardy knows that there is plenty of reason for them to secure their second. “It’s been a good learning experience for all of us including the players and staff at Leicester City,” he said. “Watford were very poor but we showed character to win and beat a top side like Watford. It’s only a matter of time before we get our second chance and challenge for the championship.”

Leicester City faithfuls would be happy to see the Foxes secure a top four finish as they dream of an FA Cup semi-final appearance. The season may be over but the season isn’t over yet and that’s the main idea for the Foxes. “We’ve had a bad run of injuries but I think we’ve still got a lot to play for,” said Foxes interim manager Harry Conway. “They have beaten some top sides so it gives us a little confidence. “There’s obviously talk of a move for Danny Drinkwater and I can’t see that happening now. We’ve come so far this season and we still have a lot to go for the title.”

Leicester City FC forward, Jamie Vardy is a popular local product with the Leicester fans who have turned out in force for the last couple of weeks to cheer their team on in what has been an unblemished campaign so far. The England forward has hit the headlines for his goals and has also created a storm around him with the manner in which he plays football and with his attitude, not to mention his world class ability on the field. He is the type of player who can create a buzz when he walks into a changing room and the Leicester City FC faithful would love to see him lead the line for the foreseeable future. It would mean a lot to the Foxes if Jamie Vardy was to stay at the Foxes and improve upon what he has done so far this season. His strike rate and the number of goals he scores are something to get excited about.

The Foxes will hope to see a different side to Vardy this season when they are looking to retain their Championship title. However, do not be surprised if they are surprised by anyone this season as they prepare to face off against their fellow promoted side, Watford. I expect a tough match for the Foxes, who will be keen to bounce back from the heavy defeat at the end of last season to bring in another campaign that they should easily win. The next few weeks will be crucial for the Foxes with Watford and Brighton also in the Championship. So I expect a cagey war for second place and a potential for the Foxes to go into the summer top of the table.
